100% Syrah
An intriguing aromatic profile of fresh blackberry,
savory hints of smoked meat, cracked black
pepper, and earth. Bold and full-bodied, yet
maintains excellent structure and vibrancy, with
flavors of ripe bramble berries, red plum, and
savory umami accents. The dark fruit is seamlessly
integrated with savory spices like cinnamon and
star anise. Bright acidity and fine, dusty tannins
provide superb balance and linger elegantly.

Winemaker Notes
WINEMAKING NOTES
The Lost Soul is a single vineyard representation
of Red Willow vineyard Syrah and is a combination
of two distinct blocks planted on quite di erent
soils. While the Wild Eyed represents the warmer
climate side of Syrah, the Lost Soul embodies the
cooler side. We take a very hands-o approach
with this wine, striving to protect the unique
qualities of Red Willow vineyard. Like the Wild
Eyed, the wine is aged in thick staved 500-liter
French oak barrels. Unique to the Lost Soul is the
extended barrel aging program. The Lost Soul
spends an additional 12 months in barrel, for a
total of 30 months of aging. The wine was
fermented in 1.5 and 2 ton open top fermenters
for 9-12 days. The wine was lightly pressed to
barrel where it finished primary and malolactic
fermentation. The wine was racked twice and left
unfined prior to bottling in March of 2024.
